Kodi 14.2 Raspberry Pi Download

I have got the RPi 2 recently and installed Kodi 14.2 and I use Mimic Skin. I am facing one problem with respective to the shutdown functions.
In the 'System -> Power Saving -> ' The 'Shutdown' function is showing as '?0?' instead of showing the shutdown functions like exit, suspend, shutdown etc.
How do I get it back.

Before we start installing Kodi on Raspberry Pi, you need to get following tools that helps in the installation process:

  • Raspberry Pi
  • HDMI Cable
  • Mouse or a Keyboard
  • Micro SD Card Min 8 GB compatible with Raspberry Pi
  • Power supply

Now you can get on installing Kodi by following the steps highlighted below:

Step 1: Download OSMC for Raspberry Pi as an installer program

Step 2: Now insert an SD Card > Then Run the OSMC Installer

Step 3: One the installer starts, it will ask you to choose a Language

Step 4: Select the latest version of Raspberry Pi when it asks

Step 5: It will now ask you to choose where you would want to install OSMC, so select SD Card

Step 6: Now choose either you want to setup a wireless connection or an Ethernet connection

Step 7: Select the Drive where you would want to install OSMC > Accept the License Agreement

Step 8: OSMC Package will now install and be written to the SD Card

How to Install Kodi on a Raspberry Pi 3 Using OpenELEC

In this Kodi installation guide, we’re going to download Kodi image file and copy it onto SD card.

Step 1: Go on to OpenELEC website and Download Raspberry Pi Builds

Step 2: Now extract the zip file, you would need a WinRAR software to extract the zip file

Step 3: Once you unzip the file, you need to write the image file onto SD card. For that, you require Win32 Disk Imager

Step 4: Insert SD card onto your system > Open Win32 Disk Imager software and upload OpenELEC image file

Step 5: Now click on the Write button and it will write the Image File to the SD card

Step 6: Insert SD card on Raspberry Pi

Step 7: Plug all the relevant connections i.e. HDMI, Ethernet cable, Mouse or Keyboard onto the TV or monitor.

Step 8: Connect to the internet > Kodi will automatically install on Raspberry pi 2/3.
